About Dr. Vivek Verma

• Dr. Vivek Verma is recognized as one of the very few Orthopaedic Oncologists in India.
• He has been trained at Tata Memorial Cancer Centre, Mumbai, which is recognized as one of the best cancer hospitals in India.
• His current practice is exclusively focused on the management of bone cancer and soft tissue tumors.
• Currently, the Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedic Oncology division at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Patparganj and Vaishali is led by him.
• The first dedicated Orthopaedic Oncology setup was pioneered and established by him in Uttarakhand at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dehradun.
• Additionally, beyond clinical work, research and academic activities are actively pursued by Dr. Verma, including the publication of papers and the conducting of Musculoskeletal Oncology CMEs at both state and national levels.

Special Interest

• Bone Tumours – Both benign and malignant bone tumours are treated, including Sarcomas (Osteosarcoma, Ewing’s Sarcoma, Chondrosarcoma), Giant Cell Tumours, Bone Cysts, and related conditions.
• Soft Tissue Tumours – Additionally, various soft tissue conditions are managed, including Sarcomas, Atypical Lipomas, Fibromatosis, Retroperitoneal Tumours, and similar pathologies.
• Cutaneous Malignancies – Furthermore, skin malignancies are addressed, such as Melanoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Basal Cell Carcinoma, and other related cancers.
• Metastatic Bone Disease – Moreover, metastatic bone conditions are treated, including Pathological Fractures of Extremity or Spine, Pelvis, and associated complications.
• Complex Reconstruction Surgeries – Finally, complex reconstruction and revision surgeries are performed for failed implants and mega prosthesis cases.

• Clinical Fellowship in Trauma and Joint Replacement was undertaken at Berufsgenossenschaftliche (BG) Klinik, Tuebingen, Germany.
• DNB (Orthopaedic Surgery) was obtained from Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (MIOT) Hospitals, Chennai.
• MBBS was completed at Byramjee Jeejeebhoy Government Medical College, Pune.
